It is very inconvenient for your system to fail at the peak heat season, or cold season. Our maintenance plan is a way to not only prevent the system from failing, but also ensure it is operating as efficiently as it can be. We will come twice a year, once in the spring season, and once in the fall season.
The spring maintenance visit will be a COOL check, where we will run your system in cool mode. We will check all the cooling components, which includes refrigerant pressures, compressor and fan amp draws, temperature of the supply air, and more. We will also clean both indoor and outdoor coil, clear the drain line and any condensate pumps if necessary, inspect ductwork, etc.
The fall maintenance visit will be a HEAT check, where we will run your system in heat mode. We will check all heating components, which, in a heat pump includes refrigerant pressures, compressor and fan amp draws, temperature of the supply air, and mostly the same things as a cool check, with the addition of testing the defrost board, reversing valve, and heat strips. A furnace maintenance is slightly different, however. In the case of a gas furnace we will be checking gas pressures, inspecting and cleaning the heat exchanger, burners, flame sensor, as well as checking amp draws on fans and blowers.
